A dog collar is needed daily – an ID tag is attached to it, and for many dogs, it becomes a permanent accessory. When choosing, the neck circumference, strap width, and material are important: the more often a dog gets wet and rolls around, the more important it is that the collar does not absorb water and odours. Often purchased together with a collar is a leash. You can find all walking equipment in the harnesses, leashes, and collars category.
What kind of collar should you choose for your dog?
- Everyday dog collars– adjustable, with a reliable snap buckle, a D-ring for a leash, and a separate attachment point for an ID tag.
- Reflective collars– with reflective elements to make the dog visible in the dark. In autumn and winter, it's worth combining them with safety lights.
- Waterproof collars– do not absorb water or odours, dry quickly; suitable for dogs that swim and roll around.
- Rope collars– a round rope rubs the fur less and fits more comfortably, but is less suitable for dogs that pull strongly.
- Lightweight collars for puppies and small breeds– thinner and minimal weight, do not press on the neck.
- Collars with ID tags– with a smart identification tag that helps contact the owner if the dog gets lost.
